The performers attune to the amorphous and web-like nature of consciousness while embodying a deep reverence for play. Embracing the function of “before understanding” the sound and movement expression of the performers creates meaning through their shapeshifting. Skimming surfaces and engaging deeply, Julian, Mia and Glenn bounce off, combine and parallel one another in non-organic, irregular ways. The stage with a purple foam block serving as an anchor is the frame, while the structure plunges and falls through live decision-making within a layered choreographic score.
